Zumba Gold is designed for the active mature adult, the beginner or for those who may need special dance modifications in a fitness session.

The pace is not as “high energy” as a Basic Zumba class and has more comprehensive breakdowns of the fitness choreography.

It’s perfect for young mums who might have just given birth and want to ease back into exercise, or for those individuals who feel that they can’t keep up in a regular Zumba class.

Zumba Gold is also ideal for attendees who might have medical issues, physical limitations, but need to stay active.

Research has shown that for adults over age 65 or for those individuals 50-64 with chronic conditions such as arthritis, basic recommendations from The American College of Sports Medicine and The American Heart Association are as follows:

  • Do moderate intense aerobic exercise 30 minutes a day 5 times a week or
  • Do vigorously intense aerobic exercise 20 minutes a day 3 days a week also,
  • Do 8 to 10 strength training exercises, 10 -15 repetitions of each exercise 2 days a week and if at risk of failing, perform balance exercises.

Zumba Gold is an effective and fun variation of Zumba which will help you meet those recommendations completely.
